Herb Fockler
Herb’s practice focuses on corporate and securities work for both private and public companies. He has substantial experience with start-up companies, venture capital financings, public offerings, and public and private mergers and acquisitions in the high-technology area.
Herb is an Adjunct Professor at UC Berkeley Law School, where he teaches Venture Capital in both the regular year and the summer executive track. He was also the Wharton School’s San Francisco Entrepreneurs Workshop series and an adjunct professor at Santa Clara University Law School, in addition to guest lecturing at Harvard Law and Business Schools, Stanford Business School and Santa Clara University Business School. He is a past chairman of the ABA’s Venture Capital Transactions Committee, and a frequent speaker to both lawyers and entrepreneurs on starting businesses, obtaining financing and complying with U.S. corporate and securities laws.
He holds a J.D. from Harvard, cum laude, and an A.B. in physics from Princeton.
